Fifteen local companies are recognized annually to be standouts in the areas of "integrity, civic and social responsibility and business excellence." Hosted by the National Capital Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals in conjunction with George Mason University, the event will culminate with an awards ceremony on Oct. 23 in McLean. The semifinalists are selected by an independent panel of judges from an original list of 130 nominations. "This program calls attention to the many success stories of ethical business practices in the Greater Washington region," said Jeff Hamblen, co-chair of the event.
