Windward Consulting Group Implements Enterprise Management System (EMS) Solution For Sterling Commerce (America), Inc.

Herndon, VA - December 18, 2002 - Windward Consulting Group, Inc., a leading provider of operational management solutions, today announced that it has designed and deployed an Enterprise Management System (EMS) solution that will serve as the foundation to support Sterling Commerce (America), Inc.'s enterprise infrastructure. Integrating Sterling Commerce's enterprise systems, networks, and applications will give the company a more streamlined infrastructure using superior technology that will increase customer satisfaction and reduce total cost of ownership.

One of the key criteria behind the decision to move forward with Micromuse was its' flexibility in managing across Sterling Commerce's entire infrastructure (e.g. network, systems, applications, firewalls, intrusion detection, telephony infrastructure, performance management tool sets, trouble ticketing system, and network connectivity). Key to enabling this functionality are the flexible integration points, which Netcool provides to many existing management platforms and tool sets.
